I received my Norsk Lithium marine battery and it is completely dead.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerOur GEN-3 batteries are shipped in shut-down mode to preserve life of the battery. Watch this video to learn how to wake our batteries from shut-down mode.
NOTE: If you have a previous generation Norsk Lithium marine battery it may be in Low-Voltage protection, please attempt to use a charger that has a wake-up function such as our Evo-Tec charger, or a Minnkota PCL. If either of these do not wake up your battery, please try hooking up your battery to another battery of the same voltage with jumper cables, red to red, black to black, with all other connections removed and leave them connected for about 10 minutes, this should raise the voltage of the battery to an ideal charging voltage, please then attempt to charge your battery again. You can also verify the voltage with a voltmeter.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerYes, you can use a 16V Norsk Lithium Marine battery to power your Lowrance electronics as it stays below the 17.0V threshold. If you choose to use a 16V DC to DC Charger to replenish battery capacity on the water, you will need to install a Norsk Evo-Tec DC to DC Voltage Regulator to prevent the Lowrance electronics from the top end charge of a 16V battery which is 17.75V.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerYou can install a Norsk Lithium Marine battery in any position as long as it’s properly secured and the terminals are not under mechanical stress, or in contact with conductive material. This can be very beneficial when space is limited in a battery compartment.

How do I reset the BMS of my Norsk Lithium marine battery?

TECH GOD!Official AnswerTo reset your BMS, you will need to hold the power management button on the top of the Norsk Lithium Marine battery until all 4 lights illuminate which will be about 20-30 seconds. After the lights flash, the battery management system will reset itself and should be functional again in about one minute.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerWe designed the 28v terminals on the Norsk Lithium 36V marine battery to be used specifically for powering your live-imaging sonar module. With an additional 4-amp hours built into the battery, you can run a live imaging sonar module off of the 28V terminals for 10 hours. Technically that means our 36V 60AH battery has 64-amp hours!

TECH GOD!Official AnswerThere are 3 sets of terminals on our Norsk Lithium Marine Starting batteries because we recognized that people will be running other applications on our starting batteries, such as electronics, pumps, radio, interior lights, etc. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) limit the number of terminal connections that can be attached to a single battery post, to a maximum of 4. Having triple-terminals minimizes the draw on a single terminal post without the need to add a busbar.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerThermal Core Heating Technology™ checks the temperature of the cells inside the battery case and reroutes the inbound current from the charger to warm the cells if the cell temperature is below 32F. / 0C., Once the internal cell temperature has been increased to a safe charging temperature, the current from the charger is routed to the cells so a charging cycle can take place. This process is fully automatic and controlled by the BMS built into each Norsk Lithium marine battery.

TECH GOD!Official AnswerWe recommend using Deep Sleep whenever your battery is fully charged and not in use. Deep Sleep cuts all power to your battery’s terminals to ensure your electronics & accessories will not be able to drain off of it, as well as preserving your batteries charge percentage.
