Portable Sonar Battery FAQ

• What is the appropriate temperature to store my battery? Both short term and long term. And are there temperature extremes i should stay away from? Thank you.

  Official Answer

  For short-term storage, keep Norsk Lithium batteries in a cool, dry place between 32°F(0°C) and 77°F(25°C). For long-term storage, a temperature range of 40°F(4°C) to 60°F(15°C) is ideal, with the battery charged to about 50–60%. Avoid extreme temperatures during storage, below -4°F(-20°C) or above 113°F(45°C),as this can cause permanent damage or shorten battery life.

  We recommend after charging your battery to about 50–60%, to put the battery into Deep Sleep for storage. Deep Sleep cuts all power to your battery’s terminals to ensure your electronics & accessories will not be able to drain off of it, as well as preserving your batteries charge percentage.

  This feature can be implemented using the Norsk Guardian App or by using the Power Management Button on top of the battery case.
