Why does my 36V marine battery have a set of 28V terminals as well?
Asked by Wesley K. in Missouri
ODIN
TECH GOD!Official AnswerWe designed the 28v terminals on the Norsk Lithium 36V marine battery to be used specifically for powering your live-imaging sonar module. With an additional 4-amp hours built into the battery, you can run a live imaging sonar module off of the 28V terminals for 10 hours. Technically that means our 36V 60AH battery has 64-amp hours!

Why do Norsk Lithium Marine Starting batteries have triple-terminals?
Asked by Carter G. in Wyoming
ODIN
TECH GOD!Official AnswerThere are 3 sets of terminals on our Norsk Lithium Marine Starting batteries because we recognized that people will be running other applications on our starting batteries, such as electronics, pumps, radio, interior lights, etc. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) limit the number of terminal connections that can be attached to a single battery post, to a maximum of 4. Having triple-terminals minimizes the draw on a single terminal post without the need to add a busbar.

What is Voltage Transient Suppression?
Asked by Rachel T. in Alaska
ODIN
TECH GOD!Official AnswerAll Norsk Lithium Marine Starting Batteries are equipped with Voltage Transient Suppression (VTS), a critical safety feature that continuously safeguards your outboard’s charging system and the accessories connected to your starting battery in the unlikely event that the BMS disconnects the battery while receiving charge from the outboard. Always working in the background, VTS absorbs and suppresses potentially harmful voltage spikes, ensuring your equipment stays protected from electrical surges.

What is Thermal Core Heating Technology?
Asked by Nathaniel B. in Texas
ODIN
TECH GOD!Official AnswerThermal Core Heating Technology™ checks the temperature of the cells inside the battery case and reroutes the inbound current from the charger to warm the cells if the cell temperature is below 32F. / 0C., Once the internal cell temperature has been increased to a safe charging temperature, the current from the charger is routed to the cells so a charging cycle can take place. This process is fully automatic and controlled by the BMS built into each Norsk Lithium marine battery.
